This was an attempt at getting a family portrait. It is harder than it looks. This image is what we finally settled on to make 8x10 prints from. We had the camera set on a tripod and its NTSC video output to the TV so we could see what we were doing. We used a 10-second delay so I could run to the couch after pressing the shutter button. We also used the slave flash unit because it is pretty dark in the living room. We took about 25 shots to get one that was decent, and we're still not happy that Fiona isn't smiling.
A lot of them came out like this. At least we were having fun!
